L’implant dentaire est une racine artificielle en titane, posée dans l’os de la mâchoire, sur laquelle vient se fixer une couronne. Il permet de remplacer une dent manquante de façon fixe et durable, sans toucher aux dents voisines.

Après un bilan clinique et radiologique complet (bilan 3D si nécessaire), l’implant est posé chirurgicalement dans l’os, sous anesthésie locale. Après une période de cicatrisation de quelques semaines, une couronne sur mesure est fixée sur l’implant pour retrouver un sourire naturel.

Avec une bonne hygiène bucco-dentaire et un suivi régulier au cabinet, un implant dentaire peut durer de très nombreuses années, voire toute la vie. Un brossage adapté et des contrôles périodiques permettent de prévenir tout risque d’inflammation autour de l’implant (péri-implantite).
